Okay, I don't know about anyone else, but I usually take hours (and hours and hours) to write posts. Like, even the stupid ones. And by stupid I mean even these weekly reports I do, haha. I just like to play and move words around too much. Anyways, I only have about 20 minutes right now and I want to get in my weekly post because a) I like them, and b) I posted two super long (kind of boring) posts this week so I better lighten it up.
So since I'm on the clock (1:06), here's my week in no particular order:
Obsessed with: coloring books!
When Johns Mom was here in October she brought me this book. It's called "Magical Mandalas." I've seen this trend going on recently, and I was a little eye-rolley about it, but seriously, I'm addicted. And then I read this article last week, The Zen of Adult Coloring Books and it explains why perfectly. She describes it as "something to do with my hands while I watch Netflix" and I was like, YES! Every night (because Johns never home anymore) I eat dinner, watch a show and color, for like an hour. And it's honestly so relaxing! Normally when I have a show on, I can't stay still. I'm always half in the kitchen cleaning up, or folding laundry because I multi-task to a fault, but this keeps me still. This is the first one I've actually finished, because I keep starting them and then not liking the color scheme so I start a new one, haha. But really, try it guys.
Can't stop, won't stop. So fricking good. And even fricking better in the freezer.
Watching: like everything because we got cable again! Stupid, but people are coming to visit/Thanksgiving football so we got it for the next month or so until we move. And it really wasn't that bad, price-wise. But, it's so good to have some of my guilty pleasures back. Kardashians, Awkward, Kelly & Michael!!
...and speaking of Kelly & Michael, that's where I used to get like all of my news from and I missed it so much! It was from Kelly this week that I learned an 800 pound alligator was found wandering a parking lot in Sugarland Texas...which is like...right by where we live. She started talking about the story and when she said Texas, I was thinking "oh probably like way far away from us"...no, like the next town over haha. I guess I knew there were alligators here, but I figured they were probably those tiny ones. Well, no...
...not tiny. And that girl there is the "alligator catcher" which is what I think most people find so crazy about this story. If you click up there where I highlighted, you can see her wrestle that big guy down. And then they borrowed a forklift from a nearby Home Depot to move him onto a truck...and now he is going to live out his life in a wildlife park where he will "have lots of girlfriends" they say. (I thought that part was soooo funny, I told John like 4 times.)
Missing: John. Who's never home, like ever! ("like ever" = Taylor Swift voice.) But this too shall pass right? I think that's the phrase I'm looking for. Or, "absence makes the heart grow fonder?" Whatever it is, I'm basically trying to keep the mind frame that it will get better, because it will.
Annoyed by: MOSQUITOS!! What is with the mosquitos right now? They're insane.
Also annoyed because: it's getting dark so early! And taking Ted on our nightly walk while it's dark now = HUNDREDS OF MOSQUITOS!
Contemplating: getting a snapchat. Well, I got one, but I've only been creeping. (Don't look for me, you won't find me!) Mostly on bloggers. I'm finding now that it makes me love some people and hate some people. Like there's one blogger I thought I liked...and now I don't. Anyways, besides that, I think I like it. It looks fun. But why does it have to be so confusing??! God bless Candace, who I emailed about it and she sent me some youtube videos to explain. (Haha, seriously she did, love you girl.) So I'm going to wait a little bit longer..but everyone else send me your snapchat names so I can watch you haha.
RSVP'd to: my cousins wedding in Chicago. In December. Around the time we are moving. So, wish us luck with that.
Speaking of moving...plans?: none yet. Mostly just a lot of talk about how we hate moving companies. Already planning on throwing everything out. Seriously, if anyone ever comes over and asks why we have no furniture. Try moving it in shipping crates.
And my times up! It's 1:30... so, 24 minutes. Not bad.
Have a good weekend! x
